Another in my series of “catching a glimpse of amazing courtyard beauty “. No filter needed, just this exquisite old stone’s patina is perfetto.

Nick joined us in Viareggio on day 10 of 15. Via IV novembre, just 2 blocks inland from the beach, is a riot of color: gigantic bougainvilleas and Oleander TREES! It’s thrilling to see such color as well as charming architecture.

During our stay in Viareggio, we popped up to Pietrasanta for lunch one day. I love this charming little hamlet! Our food & wine were delicious, too.

We spent the last 2 weeks in Viareggio, a charming city 90 mins west of Florence. Our hotel room had a nice terrace but the window opposite was shuttered and we had no idea - for the first few days - that this view was awaiting us! No filter!
